All I want is to sleep like a child again..
calm and relaxed and thoughtless,
unconscious and innocent.
If only I could feel that sensation again..
as if it was for the first time.
I've developed a growing need to throw all these poisonous bad thoughts out of my mind;
this warn out spirit of mine can't suffer another lie.
My dear fellas, I got a something to say here..if you don't mind me telling.
I filled every free space inside of me with useless fantasies..
my body with booze,
my cardiovascular system with drugs, pills and meds of any sort..
inner devils can be very demanding
and everyone knows, demons deserve a strong breakfast.
In exchange for your efforts to make them comfortable, they won't forget to kindly give you several gifts..
amongst these presents you could find: constantly burning fears, served with complementary sickness, howling liver, aching bones, nausea and several other tortures along with a persistent desire pushing you to end up this miserable life of yours..
You made this bed, now you have to sleep in it.
And you'd better keep it in mind: it's no one else's fault but yours, you made it so!
Personally I do tend to have a "no regrets" attitude.
One can't always cry over the spilt milk, right?
But I know some men do, because they like to think they're allowed to.
This may actually work for some time.
Until "that" day comes.
The day there's only one option left you can think of..
kill yourself, like..a lot.
That adventurous call is similar to a wild river..
it's shaped like a path..
nobody knows for sure where it'll take you..nor where you'll find yourself at the end of the road.
You can't control it..
you just have to follow it..
that call is loud..
it can't be avoided, denied or unheard
it has got some tremendous, irresistible itch..
luckily that lure it's not meant for everyone..
as for an exclusive party where you need a sort of special invitation to get in, you must be in the eligible group to a participate and finally be a part of it.
This is a blast dude!You litterally can't believe your eyes.The coolest party ever..Thrown by God himself, or herself..we don't discriminate here.
But like every party, this one has to end too.
In any event, if I forgot to mention it previously, reservations on this one in particular are just for fools.
Oh..well..in case you're overthinking, don't worry, just count yourself in.
You might have lost it when you got in so fast your shadow lost you for a sec, or wouldn't be able to notice it at first, but that enormous sign written on the entrance door clearly said: "for pricks only"!
Man..let me tell ya, most spirits are undoubtely predisposed more and better than others to act like total imbecils.
I assume this comes with restless souls..and it sounds appropriate.
Experience rides circuitous roads,
getting in deep it's not for everybody.
Some get lost.
Some are led to perdition.
Some are not given enough time,
not all the time they'd like to think they need to.
It means they're gone before making anything remarkable.
Still the adventurous call-for-fun never comes to an end.
Action never reaches its peak
so there's no time to rest..like..ever.
Most of the one-time party animals run out of their youth energy and supposedly invincible boldness pretty soon, finding themselves stranded into a no-more-party island with a hell of a hangover, a few shattered recollections and swamps of drowned memories. Really don't wanna know what kind of monsters hide in there.
So the lost ones happen to find themselves alone and..well..lost.
If you listen carefully you could hear them indulging in telling old stories to the newcomers, usually younger people who don't care to listen.
Look'em ol'pirate storytellers in the eyes and you'll notice, deep inside their absent-minded glances, the reflection of a spiteful demon..like a little sparkle that's feeble or apparently dead..but it's right there, always ready to strike again..still hungry for fun.
That kind of hunger that cannot ever be sedated..
That kind of desire that cannot ever be fulfilled..
Those who are immune, somehow, to that influence must be dealing with several other issues..or so I've always thought, and a little..yes, frankly..hoped.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not mad at them or anything, I simply just can't get it given that you can without a doubt number me under the "Adventure Call" responder!
Let me tell y'all one last but important thing: these fellas may not be virtuous..or heroic, they'll probably die young, most likely in a home accident or being a statistic, they'll live fast, driving in the fast lane at excessive speed the opposite way..doing tons of stupid things compared to the boring ones who calculate every move..your neighbour, just sayin'..
but don't forget a peculiar thing: these few lucky men can treasure what they've learned and use it to live a decent and a surely better life.
Or, at least they have something beautiful to dream every night..when they sleep like a child.
